Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Cast and Creative revealed!

This October half-term, a sparkly new production of the classic musical 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' comes to St Albans!

Step into a world of pure imagination with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical—a dazzling stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved classic. When young Charlie Bucket wins a golden ticket to the mysterious Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, he embarks on a fantastical journey filled with astonishing inventions, mischievous competitors, and life-changing lessons. Bursting with catchy songs, colourful characters, and magical surprises, this heartwarming musical celebrates imagination, kindness, and the joy of dreaming big—perfect fun for audiences of all ages.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's creative team is spearheaded by award-winning director and actress, Jessica Heppelthwaite (Everybody Here is Fine, Sweeney Todd, Shakers) who looks to bring a hilarious and heartwarming version of the classic tale to life, at her side is debuting assistant director, Mikki Heppelthwaite. Choreography for this production is led by multi-award-winning choreographer and dancer, Emily Daines, with assistant choreography taken by Bowdens College graduate, Eve Buttress. Tackling the shows musical direction, is Mountview graduate, Emma Marsh. With costumes curated and designed by Ruth Burton (Sweeney Todd, Oliver, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors and more), this all-female creative team looks to bring a fascinating production to life.

Introducing Jessica Joy as Charlie Bucket, and returning Kyle Goold is Willy Wonka.

Casting features a multitude of new and returning faces, making this production one of Limitless' most exciting yet. Fresh in the leading role of Charlie Bucket, is Jessica Joy, an 11-15 student at Limitless Academy. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory marks Jessica's leading role debut. Accompanying Jessica as Willy Wonka, is returning face and multi award-winning actor, Kyle Goold. Most recently appearing as the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, this will mark Kyle's 12th production with Limitless.

The rest of the cast is also full of returning faces, such as; award-winning actor Freddie Goold as Grandpa Joe, Emily Daines as Mrs Bucket, Archie Griffiths as Mike Teavee, Aimee Reeder as Cherry Sundae, award-winning actor Lucas Wilson as Augustus Gloop, Alice Walker as Mrs Gloop, Otto Wing as Mr Salt and Evan Johnson as Jerry.

Alongside returning cast members, there are also multiple new faces, introducing; award-winning actress Francesca Glennie as Mrs Teavee, Reece Chapman as Mr Beauregarde, Maddie Ward as Violet Beauregarde, Emily Oram as Veruca Salt, Stuart Cocks as Grandpa George and an entire ensemble mixed with new and returning faces.
