Last Wednesday, our very own Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett joined Leslie Tate for an interview on Radio Dacorum.
Over the course of 45 minutes, the conversation explored the heart of the production — from its themes and message, to the origins of the show, Limitless’ unique spin on Sweeney Todd, and the ways Kyle and Jessica bring their characters to life. The discussion also touched on the academy itself and much more.
Alongside the show-specific insights, Leslie and our cast delved into acting techniques, how Limitless mentors its students, and what makes the academy stand out. It’s a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the creativity and dedication that go into a Limitless production — with a few exciting hints at what’s to come when Sweeney Todd takes the stage later this month.
We promise there are no spoilers!

From 30th October to 1st November, the SandPit Theatre will host a bold, semi-immersive, steampunk-inspired production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Directed by West End veteran Peter Heppelthwaite (Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, BBC’s The Green Green Grass), this is not your average Sweeney Todd.
Award-winning team of actors, Kyle Goold takes on the role of Sweeney, alongside Jessica Heppelthwaite as Mrs Lovett. With St Albans’ own Victorian history providing the perfect backdrop, audiences can expect a chilling mix of revenge, wit, and immersive theatre.
Tickets are £19.50, with a special Halloween night offer: use code RAZOR for “buy one, get one 50% off.”
